Dottie Rucinski
In the spring of 2004 Dottie Travis (now Dottie Ruckinski)) was given a newspaper article about a new non-profit organization looking for volunteers to help on construction projects. Dottie was new to the area and was looking to make new friends. After all, she would say, volunteers are always the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
Dottie called Michelle Larkin and offered her services. Michelle says that day was one of her lucky days Dottie not only turned out to be a good friend but was skilled in all phases of construction and was willing to do whatever needed to be done. That spring she worked on all five of the worksites Rebuilding Together was involved with. Not only is she skilled, she has a heart of gold and has a real soft spot for elderly folks needing assistance in their homes. |
