Why we do what we do

The new kitchen cabinets, the new bathroom floors, lots of newly painted areas, less clutter, a more efficient spot for the dishwasher and the entire house newly insulated.  We  could go on and on, but the bottom line is, you have had an unbelievable  impact upon our facility. The spirit of your organization and the volunteer staff has infected the Vet House. We are so thankful for the infection, because your organization has infected us with new hope, new attitudes, a desire to make things better and most importantly that there are really people who care and want to help make lives better and help others become more productive.  The improvements to the facility are great, but the changes that it has produced in our residents and staff already, is unbelievable!

Our residents and staff  could not believe all the things that you were able to accomplish in three days.  They could not believe that people would volunteer their time and skills to help them as you have made the house a much better place for them.  But even though most of the work has been completed, it continues to remind everyone who comes into the house what a difference your organization has made to them.  We are so grateful for all you have done and the amazing commitment that Sears made to our Veterans.  Again, we want to say thank-you for all you have done and accomplished for our Veterans.

To all volunteers and everybody at Rebuilding Together:

I don’t know where to start to let you guys know how much I appreciate all the hard work that you’ve done at my house.  It looks great!!  It’s wonderful to know that there are still some good people in this world who do so much for somebody else, and those people were at my house that Saturday!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart from all us.  God bless you and I pray that somebody else will do something nice for each and every one of you.  You guys are awesome!

Thank you all the workers that did such a great job and were so nice to me while they were here.

To Energy East and Rebuilding Together:

Our family is very thankful for everything that you people have done for us.  We could not have done it without such great people that you are.  The new roof, new windows, new combination door and new tub and shower insert and our whole home being nicely painted, has made our home a safer and cozier home for our family.  Our family can’t say it enough how much we appreciate everything that was done for us and everybody’s willingness to help get the job done.

Words on paper cannot express the gratitude we feel toward each and every individual who picked up a paint brush, a rake, a hammer or who just came by to say hello.  Each of you will remain forever in each of our minds when we look upon the wonderful things you have done for us here at the Saratoga County Rural Preservation Company.!

All of our residents remain overwhelmed with the job done by each and every one of you!  The new cabinets actually stay closed now!  The dishwasher is now right next to the sink and the bathrooms are bright and clean and new!  Each resident learned a wonderful lesson from each of you.  Your giving ways did not fall on deaf ears or blind eyes and we again thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

As this very special time of year approaches I want to wish all of you the best thanksgiving and Christmas ever.
You have been a true blessing to me and I'll never be able to thank you enough for all you did for me. Each and every one of you is true Christian people and examples of how we all should live. Everyone who was here at my house was so kind, considerate and caring. They worked fast, efficiently and accomplished many tasks at once due to excellent condition and cooperation between everyone. Most important was the example they were showing all the younger people, including my own grandson, that came to work alongside them.
Although my home is only 12' X60' it holds as many memories for me as if it was a 50 room mansion. Now, thanks to all of you, I can stay here for many more years. My floors are solid and safe, there are no longer cold drafts everywhere, my back door really closes and locks, I have beautiful back stairs and a roof that no longer leaks or water running down my walls. Every time I think of all this I am just so thankful and grateful for being chosen.
Please let everyone know how grateful I am for them, for their help, for their families supporting them and the opportunity just to meet everyone.

Dear Michelle and Rebuilding Together,

Please thank each and every one who helped with everything in my home. It is greatly appreciated. It was good to know that when you're down and out, troubled and confused, there are people like you and your organization. I hope someday our paths will cross again!

I can not find the words to tell you how happy you have made me. The world needs more people like you.

Words cannot express my appreciation to all the people involved in placing a new roof on my home last week. Not only were they considerate of me, every one worked together to get a good job done. All I can do is remember everyone in my prayers, each and every one who took part in making this good deed happen.

Thank you so much for all you did for our family. Everyone did a wonderful job and all with smiles! Please pass on our thanks to all the families (and singles) who gave their time and energy.

Thank you doesn't quite seem to be sufficient but we truly thank you for all your kindness and hard work. As a person with such limited resources, this has been a God-send, and a new start, and a reaffirmation of faith in the good people who have helped me.
